Roger Ramirez is our local shaper and the person in charge of the entire process of surfboard manufacturing.


Roger has more than 16 years of experience in the surf board industry. He first learned from his brothers, Juan and Miguel, to fix boards in the back yard of their house. Four years later, he moved to California and worked there for several summers doing ding repair for big companies such us Rusty boards, Danny 's Murphy and Christensen. He also learned how to laminate new surf boards working for Plus One for several seasons. In the year 2000 he moved to Portugal and worked there for companies such us Polen and Cement; well known surf brands on the European continent. During this years he also started becoming involved with the shaping process, making surfboards mostly for friends and casual customers.

In 2003 Roger opened his own surf factory Oasis, with his partner Soledad Fernández Viola. From then on, Roger started shaping in a more commercial way.

Three years later, "Roger Ramirez surfboards" are distributed all around the Mexican territory and around the world.
