Mexico: A paradise of un-crowded secret spots!

The Oaxacan coast, at least until now, has stayed as one of the few beach areas in Mexico where you can still find places completely deserted. Along a coast line of approximately 600 km you can visit many paradise beaches of warm, transparent water with perfect and un-crowded waves.
Even though Zicatela's beach break is the most famous one, there are many other spots which surfers may surf. There are still many "secret spots" going north or south along the coast line. Reaching any of these spots without an experience guide may be frustrating, as these places are in the middle of nowhere; of course they do not appear on regular maps.
Local surfers like to keep these spots secret or at least un-crowded from foreign surfers and photographers.
However, many of these secret spots have been discovered, due to surf contests, international surf tourism as well as different companies dedicated to making surf trips. We, as part of the local surf population in Puerto Escondido, are very aware of this problem. We will guide you to this popular, beautiful spots, while emphasizing environmental stewardship.
In order to do this, we have a four wheel drive truck fully equipped for camping and driving on sandy and muddy dirt roads.

Apart from surfing, you can also try any of this open air activities. We will put you in contact with the right people to do them.
- SPORT FISHING: This is still one of the most popular activities among tourists in Puerto Escondido. You leave from Playa Marineros or BahÃa Principal where most of the active fleet of boats is.
- Visit LAGOONS using a boat, going through the mangroves, to see different species of birds and animals.
- Visits to the Turtle Museum in Mazunte.
- Visits to the Breeding Farm for Iguanas in Barra Navidad.
- Visit the Mezcal Factory.
- Visit to local and native towns to buy handcraft and interact with different cultures.
